This is for my Mound Builder Ancestors of the SouthEast. The hand designs have been used in carved shell and Pottery and worn for thousands of years. Euchee/Yuchi people specifically are called children of the sun and believed the sun to be the giver of life. In our creation story we are born from a drop of blood from the sun that had fallen to earth. This design represents the Moon as the feminine symbol to its counter sun, both equally important to our people. The Moon brings balance to the Sun. This design is meant to give the wearer a reminder of strength and protection, Set your intentions because your Ancestors/Universe hear you. Mvto!
