This necklace is an ode to the Southeastern Diamondback Rattle Snake. There was great respect for the snake in my Euchee and Choctaw tribes as they coexisted. The snakes would protect crops from intruders and always warned if ever they got too close before striking. The Diamond Shape is used in garment making, baskets, jewelry, etc. This shows how much my tribes regarded the Snake. The pearls are also significant to my Southeastern tribes as a sign of Wealth in our communities.
I still have an intricate piece of Diamond Pattern work my late Grandma Josephine had done and am still in awe whenever I look at it.
May this Design bring you Protection and Wealth.
