Gold and Darkened Silver & Smokey Quartz briolette

This one of a kind necklace features 23.5karat Gold applied to fine silver with a technique called Keum-boo. This technique involves cutting 23.5 karat Gold foil to desired Design, then heating up the Fine silver on a hot plate after the fine silver is heated enough the gold is applied by burnishing with enough pressure that the silver and gold then combine together permanently, on a molecular level. 

This design incorporates Gold as rays of sun in the darkness. The beautiful rich gold against darkened silver creates such beautiful contrast and a striking one of a kind piece. The 14k Gold wire wrapped faceted Smokey Quartz briolette adds a bit of sparkle and femininity to this piece.
